Yuan Yuan: Mr & Miss Wimbledon Ambassador to China

Ambassador Yuan

Yuan Yuan was awarded the Charismatic Award at the Miss Wimbledon 2007 contest. As one person put it "When she got up on stage, something magical happened. Her Charisma shown through and her Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious performance blew the audience away."

Two years later she was invited to be the Executive Producer of the 2009 show and also made an appearance as a Judge. Her diplomatic skills enabled the contest to be held at the famous Shanghai Blues Restaurant in London, during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, attracting VIP’s from the Chinese Embassy and two House of Lords.

Mark McGough, the Creator and Producer of Miss Wimbledon said: "China is the future superpower of the world and if the contest is to work on a global scale, we need to reach the people of China. As a previous contestant and organiser of the event, with her excellent Chinese relations and her magnetic personality, she is by far the most qualified individual to take on the role of Mr & Miss Wimbledon Ambassador to China."

Yuan is currently involved in the UK television industry. She has worked for various large scale talent shows including 'The X Factor' and 'Britain's Got Talent'. She is also a partner of The UK China Culture Association.
